CMA is the highest paid job in India as per a survey by Tata Consultancy Services. CMA stands for Cost Management Accountant. It is a specialization in accounting and finance that deals with the process of measuring, analyzing, and controlling costs.

In the survey conducted by TCS, it has been found that CMA professionals earn an average annual salary of Rs 39 lakhs. In addition to this, they also get other perks like life insurance cover, medical insurance cover, etc., which together make up for an average package of Rs 46 lakhs per annum.

As per the survey results, average base salary for a CMA professional was Rs 33 lakhs in 2017-18. This figure has increased by 19 percent over the last two years due to increase in demand for CMA professionals across sectors such as retail, banking & financial services, manufacturing etc., who are responsible for managing costs and budgets efficiently so as to keep them under control while managing resources efficiently.
